Mother's Day yesterday. I rocked the quiche. Even the crust came out right! Then an afternoon of chasing V around the garden store and putting in the summer's veggies. V is in nigh-unbearable pain from her teeth. Most of the time she’s pretty good, but it makes her bad at transitions: waking to sleeping, eating to not eating, playing to not playing. The weekend flew by. Friday night was Earthdawn with mindways, keshwyn, et. al. Stopped off at rigel’s to lend her a costume piece. Yesterday was beautiful early spring weather. The crocuses I planted last fall were up, dotting the lawn with little bursts of yellow. (They were all yellow. Not what I expected. That's from one of the NPCs in the very first Fate session of the first game I ran. gentlesamurai, of course, had to plunk down a Fate point and say "That! That is going to happen to us." Were catching up on things undone since the start of the PhD push. Paperwork, housework, home repair, and long-term planning projects are falling like autumn leaves. Saw our godson on Saturday and went to the Discovery Museums in Acton. Great place for toddlers and little kids. Spent the day in the Discovery side. I want to take ( Read more... )
